||What happens during a herbal consultation?
The first appointment lasts 60-75 minutes. This allows sufficient time to listen to your health concerns, take a detailed medical history, check your blood pressure, perform a clinical examination as necessary to make a diagnosis, give advice on nutrition and life habits, make an individual prescription and dispense medicines. The interval between the first and second consultation depends on the nature of your health problems but is usually between 2-4 weeks. Follow up consultations last between 30-45 minutes to enable us to review your progress. The length of treatment varies according to the nature of your condition.
What happens during a veterinary consultation?
||The first appointment lasts an hour. This allows sufficient time to review information from your vet, take a detailed medical history, examine your animal, discuss the diagnosis, give advice on nutrition and treatment and dispense medicines or give acupuncture. The longer consultation gives your animal time to become accustomed to her/his surroundings and relax. The interval between the first and second consultation depends on the nature of your animal’s health problems. Follow up consultations last half an hour. Your animal’s progress and treatment is reviewed and further treatment is given as required.
| My practice is based in Yorkshire. I consult on a secondary referral basis at veterinary centres, stables and farms throughout northern England. It is essential that a full medical history is provided by your local vet before our first consultation. I will contact your vet after the first consultation to inform her/him about animals treatment. You will remain registered with your local vet for conventional treatment and emergency cover. You or your vet may contact me out of hours for urgent advice only. Please contact your local vet immediately if you have a veterinary emergency.
